On Windows there is a multiuser ,it means that  the computer can be used  by many users ,each user it can be provided pasword protection for their personal files,as well on Linux and O.S.
About the multitask wich means that you can have several programs open at the same time on O.S,Windows and Linux

 Desfragmentation  :Rearrangement of the files on a hard disk for faster data access. After the files are removed from a disk, the operating system tries to fill the vacant space with the new files. If a new file is too big to fit, it stores the excess data at another location.
